The prize package: reusable pallet and box maker wins innovation award.

The circular solution for the seafood industry was the winner when the Seafood Innovation Award was presented at the North Atlantic Seafood Forum in Bergen<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eight startups pitched<\/a> solutions within fish health, resource utilisation and circular economy on\u00a0the first day of the North Atlantic Seafood Forum (NASF) conference<\/a> in Bergen. The winner was officially presented on Wednesday, after the solution was also pitched again on the second day of the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Circmar<\/a>, which is developing circular packaging solutions for the seafood industry, has won this year’s award, with the goal of replacing the current widespread use of single-use packaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief executive Espen Ramsbacher believes the award provides important recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“That a competent jury chooses us as the winner among many strong candidates gives us both recognition and increased visibility in the market,” Ramsbacher tells Fish Farming Expert’s Norwegian sister site, Kyst.no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
